Baptism Service Next Sunday Harriet Willis and Josh Turnbull will be declaring their faith in Baptism. Our service starts at 6:30pm and we invite you to come and share this special time together.
Lenten Reflections 2012 Invitation Lent is the 40-day period (not counting the six Sundays) before Easter. It is traditionally used by the Christian Church as a time for reflecting on what it means to follow Christ, and to stimulate your thinking as your journey towards Easter. There is an invitation to receive a daily reflection each day during this period by registering online at www.lentenreflections.org

This Friday – Carry Me? Friends carried their friend to Jesus for healing. You may need to carry your friend down the Hutt River. Bring supplies to build a raft. We will sail down the Hutt River on Sunday 26th after Church Meet at church 7:00pm. $2.50 If anyone has any life jackets they can lend us for Sunday 26th can you please let Glen Williams know, 971 3271 or angela.glen@paradise.net.nz

Church Telephone Directory Isn’t it helpful having photos in the church telephone directory – helping us all to ‘put a face to a name’. It’s time to update the directory and today Richard Rhoades will have his camera at the ready – whether it’s for the first time or to update your previous photo. Hard copies of the telephone directory are available on the upstairs coffee table and on some of the café tables downstairs. Please check your details and make any changes or additions.

Staff News We are looking forward to Jeannette Blockley, our new Church Administrator, starting on Tuesday.
Rockin’ the Hutt – a Music & Dance Spectacular on Sunday 26th March This community event will be happening outside our building from 9-4:30pm next Sunday (there will be no parking outside in High Street and Andrews Ave). We are keen to participate in this event by running a sausage sizzle, face painting and tea & coffee. Samosas for Sale This is a fund raiser for Cait Bennett’s student exchange to America in 2012. A percentage of the profits will go to The Boys Home that Cait’s youth group supports in India. Each pack contains four large Samosas and costs $12. Money and forms to be in by the 23rd February. We will deliver the Samosas to you on the 8th / 9th March. Please see Kere or Andrew Bennett in the downstairs foyer after church if you would like to buy some. Thanks for your support.
Children’s News
Stepping Stones (for 3-6 year olds) your programme starts at 10am in Lounge 1.
Living Stones (for 6-10/11 year olds) your programme starts at 10am in Lounge 2.
Pebbles Supervised Crèche (for 1 – 3 years) to the room beside the auditorium.
Parents and Caregivers of Crèche Children please collect your little ones after the service has finished. Thank you.
Stepping and Living Stones – please collect your children when their programme has finished at 11:30am. Thank you.
Parents with Babies can either use the crèche or the upstairs foyer area where some comfortable couches have been placed and there is a TV screen showing the service available to watch. Changing facilities are in the crèche and women’s toilets. Please note that the crèche is for all babies but only children 1 year and over can be left with the supervisors. Parents Please Note there will be adults on Security Duty downstairs during the morning service; however children are the responsibility of parents/caregivers before and after the service.
Food Bank Please help us to help others by placing your donations of non-perishable food items in the basket in the upstairs foyer. These are taken to the food bank each week.
Prayer Circle A reminder that the Prayer Circle is available to anyone who is facing difficulty. Please phone Andrea Ross on 569 9386 or Cathie Boyce on 566 0467 with your prayer request.
Youth Notices
Youth Group Camp 2nd – 4th March at El Rancho Cost $55. Forms are available from Hamish or join the event on Facebook/Hutt City Baptist Youth. This will be an awesome weekend you won’t want to miss.
