Neville Bartley from Scripture Union shares from Act 2.
He shares about we need to be a community rich in love that knows the needs of the community. The way to do this is in small groups, staying in touch during the week, reading the scripture and getting involved in each others life.
This week is the last part of the series on "Let Me Tell You a Story" and it's most probably the most distressing story in the whole of the post-Gospel New Testament. It's a story that reminds us, even though Grace is now present through Jesus Christ, the Old Testament craziness has not completely disappeared. The story is about Ananias and Sapphira as told in Acts 5.
This Sunday we will be looking at the legacy Jesus left, the Church. If you don't think that's just crazy, let me put it to you this way...
Jesus chose to come to earth at a time when there was no internet, no TV, news outlets or social media. There were no planes or cars. He stayed only for a little while (really 3 years was the length of his ministry), and then left his mission in the hands of 11 guys who had no idea what they were doing.
